Job Title: Sr. Architectural Drafter

Location: New Orleans, LA

Job duties: Under the general supervision of a licensed architect, draft residential and commercial architectural plans for single family homes, commercial buildings, hotels and multi-family developments.  Manage construction documentation.  Work closely with a team of architects and engineers through all phases of projects to document consistency of quality.  Work on detailed design programs for clients including program compliance documentation and building image. Work on feasibility study for real estate projects for the construction or renovation of buildings.  Work on sustainability initiatives in new projects.  Work with Building Information Modeling (BIM).

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Drafting, Architecture and Urban Planning, Urban Planning and Architectural Studies, or closely related major (foreign equivalent accepted)

Experience:  Two years’ experience as an Architectural Drafter, Architect or closely related position

Skills/Requirements:

Two years’ experience working with:

1. Schematic designs

2. New and emerging construction materials, products and systems

3. AutoCAD, 3D Max, Revit, and other CAD and BIM (Building Information Modeling) software

One year experience working with:

1. Sustainable design

All experience, skills and requirements may be gained concurrently.
