This residential project is located on Nashville Ave in the Uptown neighborhood of New Orleans, Louisiana. The avenue is named after Nashville, Tennessee, and was likely named during the period when New Orleans was rapidly expanding in the late 19th century.

During this time, Uptown became a center of culture and refinement, with its residents taking great pride in their neighborhood's architecture and social scene.

Throughout the 20th century, Uptown New Orleans continued to evolve, with changes in demographics, the economy, and urban development affecting the neighborhood's character. However, many of the historic homes along Nashville Avenue and throughout Uptown have been preserved and remain a testament to the neighborhood's rich history. Today, Uptown New Orleans is known for its distinctive architecture, lively cultural scene, and unique blend of southern charm and urban sophistication.

This project included a full renovation of the old existing house to create a modern, functional, and aesthetically pleasing residential space. The new design includes a new pool-house and features a transitional design that blends modern and traditional elements to create a timeless and sophisticated look. The use of glass windows above the kitchen to allow full light, as well as folding glass doors that open the interior and exterior, demonstrates a commitment to maximizing natural light and creating an indoor-outdoor living experience. The vaulted ceilings in the master bedroom create a sense of spaciousness and luxury, while also providing an opportunity to showcase architectural details such as the exposed beams and unique light fixtures.
